sans-serif;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.urmc.rochester.edu\/labs\/Pryhuber-Lab\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img class=\"lazyload\" decoding=\"async\" ACS Histology\/Lab Grade Cat # 399000000 Pharma-AAPER) 3X for 10 minutes each.<\/li><li>Rinsed slides for 3 minutes in running dH<sub>2<\/sub>O.<\/li><li>Slides were then incubated in 3% Glacial Acetic Acid (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.polyrnd.com\/acetic-acid-3-aqueous-10185.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">S101<\/span><\/a>, Poly Scientific) for 3 minutes.<\/li><li>Slides were then incubated in filtered Alcian Blue (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.polyrnd.com\/alcian-blue-1-in-3-acetic-acid-ph-2-5-15114.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">S111A<\/span><\/a>, Poly Scientific) for 30 minutes.<\/li><li>Wash slides under cold running tap water for 10 minutes.<\/li><li>Incubate for 2 minutes in Nuclear Fast Red (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.polyrnd.com\/nuclear-fast-red-kernechtrot-0-7.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">S248<\/span><\/a>, Poly Scientific).<\/li><li>Wash under flowing\u00a0dH<sub>2<\/sub>O until excess Nuclear Fast Red is washed away.<\/li><li>Incubated\u00a0slides in 90% ETOH for 20 dips, repeat in different 90% ETOH.<\/li><li>Incubated slides in 100% ETOH for 20 dips, repeat in different\u00a0100% ETOH.<\/li><li>Washed\u00a0slides in 2X in Xylene, followed by 6 more washes in xylene.<\/li><li>Coverslip\u00a0with Permount. (Permount Toulene Solution UN 1294, Cat #\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fishersci.com\/shop\/products\/fisher-chemical-permount-mounting-medium-2\/sp15500\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">SP-15-500<\/span><\/a>\u00a0Fisher Scientific).<\/li><\/ol><p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 20px; font-family: 'PT Sans', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 20px; font-family: 'PT Sans', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Tissue Used:<br \/><\/span><span
